Earthquake!!!
Holy Cow - I just felt my first earthquake! I was sitting on the bench at the end of my bed and all of a sudden the bed bumped into me! Then the house shook a little bit and my stomach started feeling really queasy. I thought for a moment that maybe I had felt an earthquake, but it only lasted about 2 seconds. (I thought earthquakes lasted longer than that.) I called Brad right away - he didn't feel anything because he was in Costco drooling over flat screen TV's - but he told me what website I should go to (he's fascinated by all things weather related), and there it was in black and white (and red!). There was an earthquake in Fairfield (about 15 miles from our house) that was a magnitude 3.9. Brad has felt several earthquakes before, and I always tell him that I wish I could be in one - just for the experience of it all - but I think I've changed my mind! Aren't you all just so sad that you don't still live in California!

I can't believe your baby is baptized! Adon is turning 8 this month also! We are a baseball family as well. 3 of the boys are playing...it's almost too much for me. Anyway, sorry to ramble on...talk to you later.

Aaah! Move to Utah quick. Nothing cool ever happens here! You coming would be the coolest ever. How exciting you can say that you've felt an earthquake now. Let's hope for none stronger than that.
Hi Melissa,
Congrats on feeling your first earthquake, if I was there it probably would have been 5th or so. It is nice to hear from you too, glad we made the move to Montana, it is so beautiful here and I LOVE the quiet country life. Yes I am weird....The kids have been staying busy with sports, friends, school, and now that it is summer-planning their own playdates. And thn I find out I have to all of a sudden drop what I am doing to take them or pick up a friend. Sheesh what's a mother to do...LOL
The last earthquake I was in was sometime in 1987 (I think) during a trip to Disneyland. It was an aftershock--a larger quake had occurred earlier in the week and almost prevented us from going at all. It shook our hotel beds back & forth. Natalie and I shared a room and we ran to get the boys--David, his friend Chris Apsley, and no other than Todd Ellsworth. Blast from the past!
Back to the present:Loved your potato museum comment. The place really had to be seen to be believed!
